Compliance Officer - Regulatory Change

About The Role
We have an excellent opportunity within the Conduct Risk Oversight and Compliance team, for a self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic Compliance Officer to join us to help support the Society’s regulatory Policy and Change activity. You will work with the team to identify and support the delivery of FCA related regulatory change.

“We want to help the business stay compliant, but in a way that delivers great outcomes for our Members. Our mission is to be both ‘a Trusted Advisor and a Critical Friend’ of the first line”.

Your role will include a varied mix of duties. You will:

  • Conduct daily Horizon Scanning to identify emerging regulations;
  • Analyse and report on these emerging regulations;
  • Provide regulatory and conduct risk advice/guidance to business stakeholders;
  • Support the team with internal projects and business initiatives.

 “Although we’re really focused on regulatory risk and compliance, wearing our conduct risk hat means we’re always thinking about fair outcomes for our Members and the risks to those outcomes.”

About You
We are looking for candidates who have good communication skills – verbal and written, an understanding of the Society’s products and knowledge of UK financial services regulation.

You need to be proactive and highly motivated, to be able to work in detail and think bigger picture too. You’ll work closely with colleagues throughout the business and on your own.

Ideally you will be educated to degree level; with either a relevant professional qualification or the willingness and demonstrable capability to study towards one.

If you have the necessary experience and a drive to succeed then please do not delay in making an application.
