About the role

Economic Crime have the opportunity to join them as a Training & Quality Control Manager – EC Operations.

This role will lead a team of 4 Quality Control Specialists with a focus on delivering high-quality Quality Control, Assurance and Training Activities. It will ensure that Financial Crime Operations staff are supported to maintain high standards of compliance and capability, embedding quality, consistency and continuous improvement across the function.

The role holder will lead and inspire the team to contribute to departmental objectives by fostering a culture of accountability and knowledge sharing. It will oversee the design and delivery of quality control checks on Financial Crime Operations outputs (eg Case Reviews, Investigations, Alerts) as well as ensuring that appropriate processes are in place to accurately record, analyse and feedback to improve first-time quality and report on QA/QC Trends to Senior Managers, contributing to risk mitigation strategies. Working with Operational Leads, it will also identify areas of weakness and recommend process improvements.

This role will collaborate with SMEs and Operational Leads, ensuring that training content is accurate, current and aligned to regulatory requirements and the team will design, implement and oversee new starter training, ensuring recruits are equipped with the knowledge and skills required for their roles.

It will require significant stakeholder management, as it acts as a key contact for FC Operations Management regarding quality and training standards. Escalating risks, issues and thematic concerns identified through QC/QA or training activities in a timely manner will also be important parts of the role.

This is an operational role that can operate from either our Head Office campus in Binley, Coventry or our Manchester office but travel to both locations will be required occasionally. A team-led hybrid working arrangement is in place.

About you

For this role you’ll be able to demonstrate extensive experience of working in an Economic Crime environment.

To be successful in this role it’s essential you have:

  • Leadership experience with a passion for developing others and driving high standards in regulated environment
  • Experience of working within an Economic Crime environment
  • Strong knowledge of AML Financial Crime Regulations, or wider risk/compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle complex investigations and high-pressure situations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

Desirable experience needed will be:

  • Quality Assurance or training activities
  • Familiar with QC/QA methodologies.
