About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Finance Business Partner, responsible for financial business partnering to the Group’s product businesses to join us.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Management, the person in post will provide key decision-making support and challenge to product areas and their leadership, helping to drive commercial success.

The Lead Finance Partner will deliver analysis and support for key business activity and insightful analysis to support business objectives and decisions. The role holder will ensure the Group is appropriately and effectively managing its resources and that it is operating in a sustainable and commercially effective manner in respect of its financial position, performance and outlook.

Location: We operate on a team led hybrid approach our managers are best placed to understand both your needs and the needs of the business area; they’re empowered to make day to day decisions about where you can work and what’s best for hybrid teams. Our offices are based in Coventry & Manchester.

About you

To be successful in this role it’s essential that you will have:

  • An accounting qualification with significant post qualification experience or have substantial practical experience gained in industry
  • Good commercial acumen and resilience
  • Influencing skills with the ability to support and challenge at all levels
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Credibility with senior stakeholders with the ability to network in order to obtain information from a range of sources

Desirable experience needed will be:

  • Experience in a business partnering role within financial services
  • Experience of working on commercial or financial analysis across mortgages and savings or personal current accounts or business banking.
