This new Senior Communications Specialist role will be central to delivering high‑quality, engaging internal communications that bring the Executive Committee’s vision to life, inspire colleagues and create energy, belief and connection during a period of significant transformation.
Combining leadership with hands‑on delivery, the role oversees two specialist roles: one focused on optimising core channels such as SharePoint and Viva Engage, and another dedicated to creative design and content production. Together, the team will deliver dynamic, visually compelling communications that cut through, reflect organisational priorities and maintain a consistent tone, voice and visual identity across the Group. The Senior Communications Specialist ensures our channels are accessible, effective and genuinely engaging – not just functional.
Working collaboratively across the organisation, the role acts as a creative catalyst within the internal communications team. It encourages fresh thinking, experimentation and bold ideas helping to move internal communications beyond the expected. Through strong relationships, coaching and practical support, the role will help empower the team to turn complex change, strategy and leadership messaging into clear, human and impactful storytelling that strengthens colleague understanding and engagement with our purpose, culture and ambition.
The role also plays a critical part in governance and continuous improvement, balancing creativity with clarity, consistency and trust. Using insight, analytics and colleague feedback, the Senior Communications Specialist evaluates channel performance, tests new approaches and adapts quickly to what works best. They ensure content meets agreed standards, approval processes and risk controls, while still feeling fresh, confident and authentic.
We operate on a team led hybrid approach with at least 2 days a week in the Coventry & / or Manchester office
