About the role

The Data Analytics Specialist plays an important role in empowering business stakeholders to leverage data-driven insights, optimising decision-making and driving business growth.  

 

The role involves collaborating closely with stakeholders to develop and implement data analytics solutions that ensure effective use of data and analytics tools.  

 

The role will design and develop high performing, meaningful and value driven data products including Cognos data modules, reports and dashboards in conjunction with the business stakeholders with the aim of making data available to all to it can power our future.  

  
We operate on a team led hybrid approach with at least 1 day a week in the Coventry or Manchester office

About you

You’re a data analytics professional with a passion for delivering high-impact solutions that drive business value. You posess strong technical skills in data analysis, reporting and data visualisation tools in Cognos, combined with excellent interpersonal skills. You can work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions, with strong attention to detail and an analytical thinker. 


 

For this role you’ll need to have: 

  • Strong technical skills in data analysis, reporting, and data visualisation tools in Cognos
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and work effectively with management and other stakeholders to support the goals of the business. 
  • Experience in data analytics, business intelligence or a related field
  • Strong data analysis, data management and problem-solving skills; business analysis skills are a plus.
  • Highly effective at both written and verbal communication. 
  • Self motivation with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • SQL Coding Skills

 

Experience in these areas would be helpful: 

  •  Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business
  • Business analysis skills
  • Experience translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment 
  • A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) 

 

Hours: Full time - 35 hours
